Terms and Conditions

1. Deposits

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your cake order and before the commencement of any work on your cake. Your order is not confirmed until we have received your 50% deposit.

Cake orders placed with less than two weeks notice require payment in full at the time of ordering via Paypal or in person. Deposits are non-refundable.

2. Payments

Payment may be made by:

  • Cash
  • Personal cheque, supported by and to the value of a valid cheque guarantee card
  • Building Society cheque
  • Banker’s draft
  • Through Paypal using a credit/debit card of your choice which can be accessed via the Paypal tab situated under the Nouveauxcakes Enquiry heading.

NB: Please do not make any payment before you have made contact with Nouveauxcakes and a price has been given to you. Please make sure that if you are making a payment via Paypal that you give a short description of the cake you have ordered.

3. Cake Design/Tasting Consultations

Design/Tasting consultations can be arranged for most, but not all, cake orders. There is a non-refundable £10 deposit required for each cake flavour you choose, payable by credit/debit card through Paypal or by cheque made payable to Nouveauxcakes prior to any cake samples being despatched. The deposit will be deducted from the final cost of your cake once your order has been confirmed.

4. Alterations to orders

Any alterations to your original order must be confirmed in writing and may be subject to an additional charge. Late amendments to orders are often possible and every effort will be made to accommodate changes, but this cannot be guaranteed.

5. Cancellation of orders

In the event of a cancellation, work already completed is chargeable. If it is the case that Nouveauxcakes has to cancel an order, all monies already paid will be refunded in full.

6. Complaints Procedure

Nouveauxcakes endeavours to produce exquisite cakes and a professional service and our reputation stands before us. If however your experience with Nouveauxcakes falls short of this, your first action should be to make contact with us either via email or via telephone. Your call will be treated with the utmost respect and we will do all we can to rectify the situation in the best way possible so that both parties are satisfied.

7. Hiring of Equipment

Any broken/damaged items will need to be paid for and all or part of your deposit will be withheld to fix (if this is possible) or to replace the item. There is a five (5) day hire period allocated for the return of hired items eg. Thursday – Monday or Friday – Tuesday for weekend events. If you return the goods outside of this time, you will be charged for a two (2) week hire period.

In the event that the goods are not returned within this period and no contact from the person in charge of returning the goods has been received, the cash then becomes non-refundable and will be used to replace the goods.
